A Special Message from Author Liane France
Our world is in great need of healing. For the human experience on earth to survive for our species, radical change must take place in our understanding of the nature God, ourselves, our neighbor—all creation. This is not hyperbole—it is indisputable fact. What we believe, what we accept as Truth, profoundly affects how we handle the challenges we face.
While the majority of people in the world are leading decent, productive lives inspired by right motives and a sincere desire to contribute to society, others—in pursuit of narrow, misguided, or self-serving goals—are engaged in deceitful practices, criminal activity, or senseless violence and bloodshed. In addition, we are mindlessly destroying our planet. Humankind cannot continue on this present path and expect to find peace and prosperity for ourselves or future generations. The world is in great need of a radical change in thought.

A review of world history for the past century makes one want to weep for the lost potential for the true progress and growth that could have been ours. Admittedly, we have made great technological progress—life in many ways is easier and limitations have been abolished or lessened, but is has also ushered in an era of chemical, biological, and atomic weaponry; potential areas of medical/biological abuse; and avenues through which computer technology can destroy or severely cripple a country's infrastructure. Unfortunately, our humanity has not always kept pace with our inventions. The world is becoming a more frightening place, and humankind's sense of security is diminishing. What can we do?
It starts with each one of us. Let's take a fresh look at our beliefs, attitudes, influence on others, and our actions. If they are not motivated by Love, we must seek to make changes in our thinking. The place to begin is with understanding who we really are, determining our ultimate purpose, and getting to know God in the fulness of what we can identify as 8 primal facets of this great Force's true nature. In addition, we must prepare the next generation to bring healing to our world.

First, we can teach our boys the true meaning of manhood, one that rejects false attitudes of bravado, grandiosity, entitlement, intolerance, chauvinism, and misogyny and that unmasks bullying, intimidation, and violence as cowardice, personal weakness, and ultimately degrading to the perpetrator. Also, we need to assure our boys that the camaraderie, cooperation, and fun of the game is everything—winning is secondary. Our boys need to be taught that a true man expresses love, respect, and care for all creation, finds intelligent and thoughtful answers to conflict, and can stand tall with the knowledge that he is unwavering in adherence to Law and principle. He should be shown that strength correlates to character, not to brawn, and that injury to another is an abomination.
Next, we must instruct our girls that their strength is based on a deeper sense of identity as found in all facets of God's nature. They need to understand the importance of loving and expressing their unique individuality, that intelligence and the joys of Spirit trump physical beauty, and that their ultimate security lies in maintaining strength mentally and physically. Girls need to accept and appreciate that their bodies and sexuality are precious gifts—not bartering tools for approval or relationship security; that popularity is fleeting and a poor substitute for lifelong self-respect. Girls need to be informed of the necessity to build each other up, not tear their sisters down from envy, jealousy, or a sense of competition—they should strive for unity within the sisterhood, encouraging and helping one another to to grow and succeed. We must also teach—and vigorously stress to our girls—the importance of financial independence and preparing themselves educationally to achieve it. Underlying all instruction, girls need to be guided to a higher sense of Love and disabused of unrealistic romanticism that could hinder a truly satisfying and joyful union.
Let's help one another rise from poverty to the abundant supply that comes from infinite Source; from dishonesty to absolute Truth; from corruption and criminality to the order of spiritual Law; from desolation, destruction, and death to the vital harmony of Life; from unconscious, unintelligent blindness to the reason and logic of Mind; from a lack of purpose to the talents and abilities of Soul; from alienation, prejudice, and hatred to the impartial unity of Love; from the depression of pain and sorrow to the joy of Spirit expressed.
We must learn to love God understandingly; identify humankind as the pure reflection of God's true nature; and turn from the darkness to that One Infinite Light!
